06. Guided Monk Tour

Early start today to get a guided tour through the Buddhist monastery by a monk. The monk photographed is a friend of Carolyn's friend Minako so we got the insider's tour. We got to see the practices and prayers that they do and understand a bit about how religion is viewed.
The tour was finished off with a ceremony performed for the four of us (Carolyn, Minako, her boyfriend Yoshi and myself). I wished for good luck and it was all finished off with tea. Very dignified.
